How It Happened
Rhode Island (2-3) was unable to stop extended runs for Bryant (1-4), falling 4-1 (25-12, 25-13, 22-25, 25-13) to the Bulldogs Saturday morning.

Set One – Bryant 25, Rhode Island 12
The match opened with even, back-and-forth action. Rhode Island led 11-10 following a McKenna Melton kill. However, a 14-point run by Bryant took the wind out of the sails for the Rams. Lea Mackay had four kills to lead a balanced Bryant attack as the Bulldogs hit .400 as a team.

Set Two – Bryant 25, Rhode Island 13
Bryant dominated from the start, taking 10 of the first 12 points. The score was never closer than seven points the rest of the set. The Bulldogs had 17 kills with just one error. Arianna Ugolini had eight kills in the set to pace the attack.

Set Three – Rhode Island 25, Bryant 22
Rhode Island's defense showed life in the set as the Rams played their best set of the weekend. Bryant committed eight attack errors and the Rams converted 54 percent of their sideout chances  (12-of-22) to extend the match. Erika Bracey provided three kills to help URI reach the fourth set.

Set Four – Bryant 25, Rhode Island 13
The momentum was short lived. Bryant scored 15 of the first 20 points of the set to quickly establish a double-digit lead. The Rams were unable to mount any serious rally and the Bulldogs cruised to their first win of the season.\
