KINGSTON, R.I. -- For the second time in as many weeks, Rhode Island has earned votes in the AP Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll. Up from four votes a week ago, the Rams received nine votes this week, the most ever for the program.
Rhody (16-2, 7-0 A-10) is one of two teams in the Atlantic 10 to remain perfect in league play. The Rams picked up a tough road win over VCU last Wednesday before defeating Duquesne Sunday in a nationally-televised contest to push their win streak to 10 straight. It's the third time under head coach
Tammi Reiss Rhody has won 10+ consecutive games in a season.
