RHODE ISLAND VS. DAVIDSON - Series notes 

  • The Rams are back at the Ryan Center for a battle with Davidson Wednesday.
  • It's the 16th meeting all-time between Davidson and Rhode Island.
  • Rhody has a slight advantage in the series, 8-7.
  • The Wildcats beat the Rams 65-55 a season ago on Jan. 8 to snap a four-game Rhody win streak in the all-time series.
  • Rhode Island is 3-0 at home against Davidson in the teams' last three meetings in Kingston.
  • The Rams enter Wednesday's match up winning their last 10 straight games. 
  • In the last year's game at Davidson, Ines Debroise led the way with a team-best 13 points and added three assists and three steals. 

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS

  • Davidson has won its last two straight games.
  • Last time out, the Wildcats defeated La Salle 62-58 after handling Fordham 74-50.
  • Davidson is led by senior Charlise Dunn and her 15.1 points per game. Dunn also paces the team in rebounding, grabbing 7.8 each time out.
  • The Wildcats are 5-3 away from Belk Arena this season. 
  • Davidson was picked to finish third in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll.
  • Bordas is a three-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week.

  • For the second time in as many weeks, Rhody has earned votes in the AP Top 25 Women's Basketball Poll. 
  • Up from four votes a week ago, the Rams received nine votes this week, the most ever for the program. 
  • URI is one of two teams in the Atlantic 10 to remain perfect in league play. 
  • The Rams received nine votes behind North Carolina (42), Illinois (42), Notre Dame (37), Georgia (36), Oklahoma St. (34), Iowa St. (12), and ahead of Syracuse (4), NC State (4), Fairfield (2), North Dakota St (1), Minnesota (1), Utah (1). 
  • The Rams picked up a tough road win over VCU last Wednesday before defeating Duquesne Sunday in a nationally-televised contest to push their win streak to 10 straight. 
  • It's the third time under head coach Tammi Reiss Rhody has won 10+ consecutive games in a season. 
  • The four votes marked Rhody's first time receiving AP Top 25 consideration since the 2022-23 season.

TEN IN A ROWWWWWWWWWW

  • Rhode Island secured its 10th straight win last time out, beating Duquesne 70-50 at the Ryan Center.
  • It was the eighth win at home for the Rams.
  • Sophomore Albina Syla had a game-high 23 points and added 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
  • Rhody scored 70 points in the win over the Dukes for the eighth time this season. Last year, the Rams scored 70+ points in seven total games.
  • The 10-game win streak matches the second best in program history. The longest win streak for the Rams was a 13-game stint in the 2021-22 season. 
  • Rhode Island is 7-0 to start Atlantic 10 play for the third time under head coach Tammi Reiss.
  • Rhody was 10-0 to start league action in back-to-back seasons in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
