Rhode Island Announces 2026 Baseball Schedule

KINGSTON, R.I. - Coming off its 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship, the Rhode Island baseball program has released its 2026 schedule, a slate highlighted by nonconference trips to Jacksonville, Alabama and Kent State as the Rams open their title defense.

Rhode Island will play a regular season schedule that includes regional contests against Bryant, Sacred Heart, Brown, New Haven, Stonehill, Quinnipiac, Merrimack, and Connecticut, along with 10 weekend conference series.

The Rams open the season with back-to-back road series at Jacksonville (Feb. 13-15) and Alabama (Feb. 20-22). It will be Rhode Island's first trip to Jacksonville since 2018. The Rams have faced Alabama once previously in program history, a 2003 series in Tuscaloosa.

Following the February swing down south, Rhode Island returns to the Ocean State for a Feb. 24 meeting at Bryant. The teams will also square off March 25 and April 14, with both of those contests taking place at Bill Beck Field in Kingston.

Rhode Island's final nonconference weekend series is at Kent State from Feb. 27–March 1. The Golden Flashes finished the 2025 campaign 38-18 and have captured the MAC regular-season title in two of the last three years.

March features a mix of nonconference and Atlantic 10 action. The Rams host Sacred Heart in their home opener on March 3 at Bill Beck Field, then begin a home-and-home series with Brown on March 6 in Providence before concluding the series with a double header on March 7 in Kingston. New Haven visits Bill Beck Field on March 10. Rhode Island also hosts Stonehill (March 18), and travels to Quinnipiac on March 24.

Atlantic 10 play begins with a weekend series at George Washington from March 13-15, followed by a home series against George Mason (March 20-22). The Rams then head to Richmond for a series against the Spiders from March 27-29.

In April, Rhode Island hosts conference series against VCU (April 3-5) and La Salle (April 11-14), and plays road series at St. Bonaventure (April 17-19) and Saint Louis (April 24-26). The Rams also host nonconference games against Quinnipiac (April 8), Bryant (April 14), and Merrimack (April 15) before a neutral site match up against Connecticut at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford, Conn. Rhode Island then closes the month with a road game at New Haven on April 28.

The 2026 regular season concludes with three A-10 series in May, as the Rams host Fordham (May 1-3), travel to Davidson (May 8-10) and return to Bill Beck Field for a three-game set against Saint Joseph's (May 14-16).

The 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship will be held May 20-23 at Capital One Park in Tysons, Va.
