RHODE ISLAND VS. GEORGE WASHINGTON - MATCHUP NOTES
  • This is the 31st meeting all time between Rhode Island and George Washington.

  • The Alverca, Portugal native is back for a second season after starting 16 of the 17 matches he played for the Rams last season.
  • Barriguinha led Rhode Island with four assists and added three goals in 2025.
  • All six of his career goals have come via penalty kicks.
  • Barriguinha and Theo Harris were the only returners to appear in all 17 matches last season.
  • Barriguinha transferred from Division II Franklin Pierce, where he played 40 matches in 2023-24. He had five goals and nine assists there.
  • In 2024, Barriguinha had four goals and seven assists while leading the Ravens to a 12-3-5 mark and a run to the third round of the NCAA Division II Championship.
