How it Happened
Video replay proved costly for Rhode Island, as George Mason scored the lone goal of the night on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute. After a non-call in real time, the match was stopped for a video review, and a foul was called on Lily Camacho in the box.

Mia Casciani converted the penalty, helping the host Patriots pull out the 1-0 win.

It was a tough loss for the Rams, who had a 16-4 edge in total shots. Despite the heavy advantage, Rhode Island was unable to find the back of the net as its six-match unbeaten streak came to an end.
