RHODE ISLAND VS. SAINT LOUIS - Series notes 

  • Rhode Island hosts Saint Louis Sunday for a 12:00 p.m. battle with the Billikens.
  • The Rams enter Sunday on a 14-game win streak, a program record.
  • Historically, URI is 10-15 against Saint Louis.
  • The teams split the series a season ago, as the Rams won the first meeting by 20 at the Ryan Center on Dec. 29, 2024 (83-63) before falling to SLU 67-63 at Chaifetz Arena.
  • Rhody is 10-1 at home this season, winning its last six straight games in Kingston while the Billikens are 4-6 on the road.
  • Rhode Island senior Brooklyn Gray spent two seasons at Saint Louis. She was a member of the 2023-24 WNIT Championship title team and started 36 games at SLU.

SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS

  • Saint Louis has lost its last four straight games.
  • Last time out, the Billikens fell to Richmond 92-44.
  • The last win for SLU was a 67-57 overtime victory at Fordham Jan. 21.
  • The Billikens have four averaging double figures in scoring, led by Zya Nugent's 13.0 points per game.
  • Freshman Alyssa Koerkenmeier is the reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after averaging 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 blocks per game last week against George Washington and George Mason.
  • Koerkenmeier has been named A-10 Rookie of the Week four times this season.

  • Rhode Island won its 14th straight game last time out, beating Saint Joseph's for the season sweep over the Hawks 69-61 at the Ryan Center.
  • The 14 straight wins are tied for the fourth-longest in the nation. Only UConn (40), North Dakota State (19) and UCLA (16) have won more consecutive games. 
  • The Rams scored 79 points in the win over Dayton, marking the ninth time this year Rhody has scored 70+ points. 
  • Last year, the Rams scored 70+ points in seven total games.
  • The 14-game win streak is the best in program history. 
  • The previous longest win streak for the Rams was a 13-game stint in the 2021-22 season. 
  • Rhode Island is 10-0 to start Atlantic 10 play for the third time under head coach Tammi Reiss.
  • Rhody was 10-0 to start league action in back-to-back seasons in 2021-22 and 2022-23. 

BG IS A BUCKET

  • Last time out against Saint Joseph's, Rhode Island senior Brooklyn Gray poured in 21 points, her second game scoring 20+ points as a Ram.
  • She was nearly perfect at the free throw line, connecting on 7-of-8 from the charity stripe.
  • Gray added eight rebounds in the win. 
  • Her season-high this year is 23 points at George Washington.
  • A transfer from Saint Louis, Gray scored a career-best 30 points in the Billiken's Atlantic 10 Tournament game against Massachusetts.
