How it Happened
Rhode Island could not keep pace with the high-powered offense of Richmond, falling 14-2 Saturday afternoon.

The No. 25 Spiders set the tone early, scoring five unanswered goals in the opening quarter to seize control. The hosts tacked on two more early in the second period to stretch the advantage to 7-0 before Calli Dunn put Rhode Island on the board midway through the quarter.

Richmond continued to dictate play after halftime, holding Rhode Island scoreless in the third while building a 13-1 lead heading into the final 15 minutes.

Dunn netted her second goal of the afternoon in the fourth quarter, but the Spiders added one more down the stretch to secure the 14-2 victory.
