How it Happened
Rhode Island fell in the series finale at St. Bonaventure 5-4 on Saturday afternoon in New York. The Rams had bases loaded with one out in the top of the ninth but couldn't push the tying run home.Â

Ryan Thompson single, followed by a Rhode Island out and two consecutive walks to
Ryan King and
Nicholas Toro gave the Rams a chance to tie the game up in the ninth. After Toro's walk, the next two Rams were retired stranding the tying run 90 feet away.Â
The Rams were trailing 4-2 heading into the fifth inning.
Aidan Botti doubled to plate Toro in the fifth to make it 4-3. Then in the seventh, Botti doubled and jack Hopko scored to tie the game at four.Â
St. Bonaventure's Anthony Fernandez singled home the eventual winning run in the bottom half of the seventh to help secure the Bonnies first regular season, three-game series sweep of the Rams since 2000.
