RHODE ISLAND VS. VCU - SERIES NOTES
  • Rhode Island is 12-10-0 all time against VCU. 
  • The first meeting between Rhode Island and VCU was in 1980 and the most recent meetings is in last year's regular season series on Friday, March 14, 2025 and Saturday, March 15, 2025.
  • In the 2025 series, Rhode Island swept VCU in Richmond, Virginia. 
  • Rhode Island took Friday, March 14, 2025's game 5-4 and then both games during the Saturday doubleheader 15-11 and 5-1.
  • Last season's Friday game featured Rhode Island's 2026's Friday and Saturday starter in critical bullpen roles.
  • Joe Sabbath, this season's Friday starter, notched his third save of the season and Connor Johnston, the Rhode Island's current Saturday starter, pitched the scoreless eighth inning.

RHODE ISLAND OPENS UP SEVEN-GAME HOME STRETCH 
  • Starting with Rhode Island's Friday meeting with VCU, Rhody will play its next seven games, and eight of its last nine at Bill Beck Field.
  • After this weekend's VCU series, Rhode Island will play home games against Quinnpiac on Wednesday, April 8, and a home A-10 series against La Salle from Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12. 
  • Rhode Island's next road game is Tuesday, April 14 at Bryant.
