With Ricard blanking the Rams, BU (37-13) scored two runs each in the second and third innings to build the lead. In the second inning, Camryn Lyons had an RBI triple and then scored on a sacrifice fly by Kyomi Apalit, with both runs coming with two outs after a pair of Rhody errors.

An inning later, Sophie Naivar drilled a two-run double to the gap in left center to pad the lead. The Terriers added two insurance runs in the sixth inning.
