RHODE ISLAND VS. LA SALLE - SERIES NOTES
  • Rhode Island is 30-12 all time against LaSalle. 
  • The first meeting between the Rams and Explorers was in 2001 and the most recent meeting was on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in Philadelphia, Pa.
  • The 2021 meeting between the two teams was part of a four-game weekend series. Rhode Island lost the Friday match up on Friday, April 9, 2021 8-5 and the previously mentioned Sunday meeting  7-3. The Rams beat the Explorers on both Saturday doubleheader meetings on April 10, 2021. The final in game one of the day was 4-2 and 12-6 in game two of the day.
  • At the conclusion of the 2021 season, despite enjoying the school's most successful season (32 wins), LaSalle University discontinued its baseball program.
  • In 2024, LaSalle University announced it would reinstate its baseball program for the 2025-26 academic year.

  • Rhode Island is in the middle of a seven-game homestand.
  • The homestand started with the Friday, April 3 meeting with VCU. Over this stretch the Rams have played a three-game series with VCU, a midweek meeting with Quinnipiac, and this weekend's series against La Salle.
  • Rhode Island next road game is Tuesday, April 14 at Bryant. The Rams also host Merrimack at Bill Beck Field on Wednesday, April 15. Between April 3 and April 15, eight of the Rams nine games have been at home.
