KINGSTON, R.I. — Rhode Island women's basketball head coach Colleen Mullen announced the signing of six student-athletes ahead of her first season in Kingston. Mullen signed four from UAlbany, where she spent the last eight seasons, as Martina Borrellas, Delanie Hill, Anaïs Levasseur and Amaya Stewart will all follow her to Rhode Island. Mullen also announced the additions of Queen Ikhiuwu (Wofford) and Mia Fiore (Merrimack) to complete the transfer class.
Borrellas joins Rhode Island after two seasons at UAlbany, where she emerged as one of the America East Conference's top defenders. In 2025-26, the guard started all 30 games and averaged 9.8 points and a team-best 6.9 rebounds per game while earning America East All-Defensive Team honors. One of just two guards selected to the league's All-Defensive Team, she ranked among the conference leaders in rebounding and shot .466 from the field. Borrellas also earned America East All-Rookie Team recognition in 2024-25 after appearing in 33 games and recording 22 steals and seven blocks. A native of Spain, she competed at Bon Soleil and spent 10 years with Vilabaquet Viladecans, helping lead the club to the 2022 Cataluña League championship.
Hill arrives in Kingston after a breakout sophomore season at UAlbany, where she earned America East Third Team All-Conference honors. The guard led the Great Danes in scoring at 14.0 points per game while starting 29 of 30 contests and ranking among the conference leaders in three-point shooting (.376) and free throw percentage (.892), the latter ranking first in the league and among the top marks nationally. She scored in double figures 21 times, including four 20-point performances, and poured in a career-high 33 points against Vermont on Jan. 1 while surpassing 500 career points. Hill also contributed 73 assists and 33 steals during the 2025-26 season after earning America East All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman in 2024-25. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, she starred at Providence High School, where she was a McDonald's All-American nominee and multiple-time all-state, all-district and all-conference selection.
Levasseur joins Rhode Island after appearing in seven games during her freshman season at UAlbany in 2025-26. Before college, the guard played at Cégep Champlain Saint-Lambert in Quebec, serving as a two-year captain and earning 2025 CCA All-Canadian and Academic All-Star honors. A three-time all-star selection, Levasseur helped lead her team to the 2024 RSEQ Provincial Championship after being named Rookie of the Year in 2023. She also competed for Slam and Kia Nurse Elite on the Canadian club circuit.
Stewart heads to Rhode Island following a freshman season at UAlbany in which she earned America East Rookie of the Year and Sixth Woman of the Year honors. The forward also collected Third Team All-Conference and All-Rookie Team recognition after averaging 12.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game while appearing in all 30 contests. Stewart ranked among the conference leaders in field goal percentage (.481), totaled 24 blocks and recorded 15 double-figure scoring games, including six 20-point performances and a career-high 25 points against NJIT on Feb. 19. She opened her collegiate career with 17 points and four blocks against Marist and added two double-doubles during the season. A native of West Reading, Pennsylvania, Stewart starred at Wyomissing Junior/Senior High School, where she was a three-time All-Pennsylvania selection and three-time player of the year.
Fiore joins Rhode Island after a sophomore season at Merrimack that was cut short by injury, as she averaged 13.8 points and 5.4 rebounds across 10 games played. As a freshman in 2024-25, the guard appeared in 26 games with 22 starts and averaged 6.5 points per game while earning MAAC Rookie of the Week honors twice. She scored a season-high 20 points against NJIT and provided steady production early in her career. Prior to Merrimack, Fiore starred at St. George's School in Newport, where she was a NEPSAC MVP and helped lead the program to a Class B championship while earning all-state honors twice.
Ikhiuwu arrives in Kingston after a productive junior season at Wofford, where she earned All-Southern Conference First Team honors and a second straight CSC Academic All-District selection. The forward started 28 games and averaged 13.2 points and a team-best 7.6 rebounds per game while leading the Terriers with 24 blocks and shooting 47 percent from the field. She recorded six double-doubles and reached double figures in 22 games, including a stretch of 12 consecutive double-digit performances. Ikhiuwu posted a career-high 21 points against King and became the first player in program history to record at least 20 points and 15 rebounds in a game. Prior to Wofford, she played at Tulsa and was a member of multiple Spanish national teams as a native of Madrid, including U16, U17 and U18 squads, and represented Spain in FIBA international competition.
