KINGSTON, R.I. - Zarah Singleton, Reagan Garibaldi, Alison Pankowicz, Sarah Shipton and Elizabeth Dankwa earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie honors, while Zoe Catrambone was named to the league's All-Academic Team, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Singleton had the top rookie time in the conference in the 100 meters, finishing in 11.67 seconds. The time also is the fastest in program history in the event. It is her second All-Rookie selection after earning the honor in the 60-meter hurdles during the indoor season.
Garibaldi swept the 400 meter spot on the league's All-Rookie teams across the indoor and outdoor seasons. Her outdoor time of 55.06 was the top rookie mark in the league and ranks fifth in program history.
Like Garibaldi, Shipton earned All-Rookie honors during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. She had the top rookie mark in the pole vault in both seasons, clearing 3.43 meters outdoors to complete the sweep.
Pankowicz and Dankwa earned their first spots on an A-10 All-Rookie team. Pankowicz had a rookie-best time of 17:19.98 in the 5000 meters, while Dankwa's 12.29 meter throw was the top rookie mark in the shot put.
Catrambone rounded out Rhode Island's postseason recognition with a spot on the league's All-Academic Team. The senior posted a 3.96 GPA while majoring in kinesiology and is a member of the Honors Program. She also swept the top spot in the 800 meters at both the indoor and outdoor New England Championships this season.
