How it Happened
New Hampshire established an early lead and Rhode Island wasn't able to answer, falling 1-0 on the road Thursday afternoon.

The Wildcats got on the board 30 seconds into the match after a Rhode Island own goal. Rhode Island generated chances in the first 45 minutes, with Kyra Samalonis putting a shot on goal that was saved in the low right corner by keeper Sonja Zeepvat. The Rams drew four corner kicks during the half but were unable to find the back of the net, going into the break down 1-0.

Rhode Island picked up the pressure in the second half, outshooting New Hampshire 10-1. It wasn't enough, however, as the Wildcats escaped with the win for their first victory of 2026.
