How it Happened
The Bears opened the scoring in the second minute when Mathias Hille sent a free kick into the box that was buried by Shayne Thompson. Originally, the goal was whistled off for offside; however, after video review, the officials reversed the decision, giving Brown the 1-0 lead.

In the 34th minute, the Rams gave up a penalty kick; however, Rhody goalkeeper William Synnestvedt made the save, and two follow-up saves on the same sequence in highlight-reel fashion, keeping the game at a one-goal deficit.

Brown doubled their lead with a goal from James Snaith, who capitalized on a rebound off the Rams' keeper. The goal was checked, and the call on the field was upheld.

Rhody's offense finally clicked when Tiago Barriguinha delivered a fantastic long ball that Everson Goglia was able to take in stride and slot past the keeper in the 77th minute.

The Rams' comeback was effectively cut short when Goglia was shown a red card for a potential denying of a goal-scoring opportunity in the 88th minute.
