• Also competed in track & field and basketball.
• Allowed just 30 hits over 45 innings while recording 55 strikeouts, three saves and a pair of wins.
• Helped lead his team to a sectional title in 2013 and a county championship in 2014.

• Son of Anne and Bill Herbster.
• Has an older brother, Alex.
• His grandfather, Gerald Herbster, was a member of the baseball and men's basketball teams at Susquehana University.
• Favorite athlete is Jacob DeGrom.
• Favorite teams are the New York Mets and New York Giants.
• Hobbies include frisbeem basketball and golf.
• Chose to attend URI over VCU, Radford, Rutgers and Rowan.
• Selected Rhode Island because of the coaches, the campus and academics.
• Majoring in Kinesiology.
