- Attended North Kingstown High School, where he played baseball and hockey
- Was a pitcher and outfielder in baseball, and a goalie in hickey
- Was a team captain in baseball as a senior
- Had a 0.70 ERA with 105 strikeouts, seven wins and five saves in 75 innings of work as a senior
- In hockey, had a .940 save percentage and a 1.1 goals against average while recording 22 wins and seven shutouts
- Earned Second Team All-State honors in hockey and baseball in 2022
- Coach Association First Team All-Division for hockey and baseball in 2022
- Coach Association Second Team All-Division for hockey and baseball in 2021

- Led baseball team to back-to-back state championships for baseball, including one that broke a 54-year drought for North Kingstown (2021-2022)
- Led the hockey team to a Division 2 state championship, breaking a 10-year drought in 2022
- Graduated with North Kingstown schools records for lowest goals against average, highest save percentage, most wins, most shutouts, and most points ever by a goaltender in hockey
- In baseball, he had the fourth-lowest ERA for all pitchers
- He tied the record for most wins in a single season in school history, and he is eighth in most strikeouts in a career in school history

- Has one brother, Jake
- His father Robert played football at Geneva College and was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1993
- Is related to Edward Anthony Perry, who played baseball at Rhode Island from 1955-56
- Considered attending Boston College, Endicott and Quinnipiac
- Chose Rhode Island because it made financial sense, the school has a good Engineering program and he was able to play baseball
- Enjoys playing golf, hockey, reffing sports, watching movies, playing the piano and drums
- Favorite athletes are Trevor Bauer and Tim Thomas
- Favorite teams are the Boston Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics
- Ranked in the Top 10 academically in his high school senior class
- Was a Principals Honor Roll recipient and a Musical Excellence Award winner each year of high school
