Mike Walsh enters his second year with the Rhode Island baseballprogram in 2013-14. A volunteer assistant coach for the Rams,he also serves as a physical education teacher in the CranstonPublic School system.

Walsh has spent the past seven years as an instructor for headcoach Jim Foster's baseball camps and clinics, focusing primarilyon pitching. He also has worked baseball camps UConn and Brown aswell as at The Prout School, in nearby Narragansett. 

From 2006-12, Walsh was the varsity baseball head coach atCranston East High School. Prior to that, he served as the generalmanager of Extra Innings - an indoor baseball &softball training facility in Warwick, R.I. - from 2005-06. There,he designed and instructed all baseball camps/clinics andperformed individual pitching lessons for athletes ages 7-17.

Walsh graduated from Rhode Island in 2004, with aBachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. He currentlyholds a Rhode Island teaching certificate for grades K-12.
