Prior to URI: 

• Was a two-year member of the baseball team at Indian Hills Community College.
• Went 2-2 with one save and a 4.40 ERA as a freshman.
• Posted a 4.50 ERA his sophomore season, going 2-0 over nine appearances.
• Combined for 64 strikeouts opposite just 23 walks.
• Was an Academic All-Region First Team Selection.

High School: 

• Was a member of the baseball and football teams at Pacelli High School.
• Was a two-time All-Conference selection.
• Earned his team’s Player of the Year award as a senior.

Personal: 

• Born November 19, 1993.
• Son of Sue and John Kawlewski.
• Has a younger sister, Riley.
• Favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and Milwaukee Brewers.
• Favorite athlete is Aaron Rodgers.
• Enjoys hunting, fishing and disc golf.
• Chose to attend URI over Iowa and UW-Milwaukee.
• Selected Rhode Island because of the atmosphere and people, also wanted to experience life on the East Coast.
• Majoring in Sociology.
