2016 (Freshman)

• Made eight appearances, including three starts.
• Turned in an 0-3 record with a 9.22 ERA.
• Recorded 13 strikeouts over 13.2 innings pitched.
• Made his collegiate debut in the season opener at #14 Florida State; struck out three in one inning of relief.
• Did not allow a hit in back-to-back 1.0-inning appearances against Davidson (March 13) and Penn State (March 23).
• Made his first career start against Northeastern and struck out three over 3.0 innings.
• Tossed a shutout inning of relief against Bryant on April 6.
• Struck out two and allowed just one hit over 2.1 innings in a May 18 start against Hartford.

High School

• Was a two-time team captain at Kingwood Park High School.
• Went 9-1 as a junior with a 1.39 ERA and 72 strikeouts over 70.2 innings pitched.
• Earned All-District, All-Area and All-Greater Houston First Team accolades.
• Set school records for single game strikeouts, single season strikeouts, most playoff wins, lowest district ERA and lowest playoff ERA.
• Helped lead his team to sectional, area, and bi-district championship titles.
• Ranked 44th academically in a class of over 400 students
• Was a member of the National Honor Society, Panther Pals (a freshmen mentorship program) and Reading Buddies, a mentorship program in which athletes serve as positive role models for at-risk children in local elementary schools.
• Also was a member of the HISD Video Crew.

• Born June 25, 1997.
• Son of Jerrel Blanchard and Cheryl & Steve Brewer.
• Has four siblings - Sean, Leigh, Skyler and Courtney.
• Favorite athlete is Clayton Kershaw.
• Favorite teams are the Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Texans and Toronto Blue Jays.
• Enjoys baseball, basketball, movies and Xbox One.
• Chose to attend URI over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Texas State.
• Selected Rhode Island based on the coaching staff, the campus location and the current players - including former high school teammate Jordan Powell.
• Majoring in Supply Chain Management.
