Biography

2017 (Redshirt Sophomore)

  • Appeared in 22 games and made six starts. Finished the season with a .222 batting average and a .263 on-base percentage.
  • Singled and had three putouts in the season-opener against Missouri State (Feb. 17).
  • Went 2-for-5 day with a stolen base at McNeese State (Feb 18).
  • Singled and stole a base against Houston Baptist (Feb. 24).
  • Went 2-for-4 day with a walk, three runs scored and twp stolen bases against Quinnipiac (March 30).

2016 (Redshirt Freshman)

  • Appeared in 16 games and made three starts.
  • Finished the season with a .263 batting average (5-19), two runs scored, one RBI and a stolen base.
  • Made his first career appearance at Maryland on Feb. 27; stole a base as pinch-runner.
  • Scored what proved to be the game-winning run after entering the game as a pinch-runner in Rhody's 7-6 win at Campbell. 
  • Recorded his first career hit against Davidson at the Campbell Invitational (March 13), sending an RBI single to right center in a ninth-inning pinch-hit at bat.
  • Singled twice for his first career multi-hit game against Hartford (May 18).

2014-15 (Freshman)

  • Was a member of the Rhody football team, but did not play in any games. 

High School

  • Was a member of the baseball, football and basketball teams at West Islip High School.
  • Captained the baseball and football teams as a senior.
  • Batted .450 with 111 hits during his high school career as a third baseman/outfielder.
  • In baseball, was an all-league and all-state selection, Division III Player of the Year and Team MVP as well as a finalist for the Yastrzemski Award (best player in the county).
  • Team was crowned Long Island Champions in 2014.
  • In football, played QB/WR/SS/CB/RB and recorded 4,000 all-purpose yards as well as 60 touchdowns from his sophomore through senior years.
  • Was a two-time All-Long Island selection.
  • Earned All-Division and Offensive MVP honors as a junior.
  • As a senior, earned All-State accolades, was the Division II Player of the Year and Team MVP.
  • Also was a finalist for the Hansen Award (best player in the county) and represented Long Island at the Empire Challenge All-Star Game.
  • Graduated as his high school football team's career scoring leader, was second in career rushing and third in career touchdown passes; had a 14-3 record as a quarterback.
  • Was a member of the honor roll as well as the president's list.

  • Has and older brother (Dylan), two younger brothers (Jack and Max) and a younger sister (Kristy).

  • Favorite teams are the New York Yankees, New York Knicks, New York Islanders and Washington Redskins.
  • Hobbies include spending time with family, reading, movies, basketball and exploring nature.
  • Chose to attend URI over Stony Brook, New Hampshire and Western New England.
  • Selected Rhode Island because of the athletics programs and the size/location of the university.
  • Majoring in Economics.
  • Would like to open his own business one day.
