Kyle Holland

Kyle Holland joined the Rhode Island Athletics Sports Medicine staff as an associate athletic therapist in July of 2022.

Holland is the lead athletic trainer for the baseball team, while also assisting with football during the fall. In addition, he oversees the department’s internship program.

He came to Kingston from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he spent the 2021-22 year as an assistant athletic trainer for the baseball and bowling programs. He also spent time with Major League Baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies as an athletic training associate in 2021. Before that, Holland was an athletic training student with the University of Arkansas baseball team from January through May of 2021.

A member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, Holland is a certified athletic trainer and also is certified as a personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. He is certified in CPR and AED for professional rescuers by the American Red Cross.

A 2019 University of Rhode Island graduate, Holland was a bullpen catcher for the URI baseball team from 2015-19. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Rhode Island in 2019 and his master’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Arkansas in 2021.
