2016 (Sophomore)

  • Went 13-1 as a sophomore, including a perfect 8-0 mark in the Atlantic 10... Only loss was opening weekend at #14 Florida State.
  • Finished the year ranked second in the nation in wins (13)... Ranked third nationally in hits allowed per nine innings (4.66) and had the country's fifth-best WHIP (0.84).
  • Turned in a 2.29 ERA while holding opponents to a minuscule .148 batting average.
  • Recorded 122 strikeouts (with just 33 walks) over 102.1 innings pitched.
  • Recorded 11 strikeouts in a win at Maryland (Feb. 27), issuing zero walks over seven innings and allowing just one (unearned) run on four hits.
  • Earned wins in back-to-back outings at Campbell (March 12) and Towson (March 19), combining for 17 strikeouts with zero walks.
  • Turned in his third quality start of the season, giving up just two runs over eight innings to earn the win at George Mason (March 25)... He recorded nine strikeouts with just one walk and four hits allowed.
  • Picked up his fifth win of the season, allowing just one run on five hits over seven innings of work against VCU (April 8)... Fanned six batters while issuing only one walk.
  • Turned in another masterful performance at Fordham (April 15), needing only 100 pitches to record 27 outs... Allowed just four hits on the night while striking out 10 and issuing zero walks... Opened the game with eight straight outs, and got back-to-back strikeouts to end it in the ninth... Of his 10 strikeouts on the night, nine were swinging and one was looking. 
  • Allowed just one hit and one (unearned) run over nine complete innings against St. Bonaventure (April 22)... The complete-game victory was his second in as many outings and fourth of his career... The complete-game one-hitter was the second of his career (Richmond, 4/18/15).
  • Allowed just one run on four hits while striking out six over a 6.0-inning start at Saint Joseph's (April 29).
  • Threw seven shutout innings without allowing a hit in a win over Dayton (May 6)... Never faced more than four in an inning and finished the afternoon with 10 strikeouts.
  • Did not allow a hit until the top of the eighth and recorded a career-high 13 strikeouts in a May 13 win over UMass.
  • Picked up his 11th victory of the year at La Salle on May 19, setting a new single-season record for the Rams... Also struck out nine Explorers to become just the second Ram in program history to fan 100+ hitters in a single season. 
  • Allowed one (unearned) run on two hits over six innings in Rhody's win over Fordham at the A-10 Championship.
  • Pitched into the eighth inning to lead URI to it's first-ever NCAA Regional victory - a 5-4 win at #6 South Carolina... After allowing three runs on three hits in the first, settled down and limited the Gamecocks to just one run on three hits over the next six-plus innings... Gave up just six hits while matching his career-high in strikeouts (11).

2015 (Freshman)

  • Led the team in wins (6), ERA (2.16), opposing average (.184), innings pitched (87.1), strikeouts (75), hits allowed (57) and runs allowed (24).
  • Allowed just one triple and two home runs over 87.1 innings pitched.
  • Made his collegiate debut at #2 Florida (Feb. 15), allowing just one hit to the 15 batters he faced.
  • Gave up just two hits in a four-plus inning start (the first of his career) at #11 North Carolina (Feb. 27)... Tossed 3.2 no-hit innings before allowing his first hit of the game with two away in the fourth... Finished with four strikeouts and two runs against in the no-decision start.
  • Was lights out in his first-ever outing at Bill Beck Field, recording a career-best 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings in a 4-0 win over Yale (March 15)... Did not allow a hit until the top of the sixth and never faced more than four hitters in a single inning.
  • Earned his second win in a row, allowing just one run on three hits over seven innings of work at Saint Louis (March 22). 
  • Recorded eight strikeouts without a walk in a 3-3 tie with Sacred Heart (March 29)... Retired 21 of the 22 batters he faced from the second inning until the ninth.
  • Posted his fourth-consecutive quality start at Davidson (April 4), allowing just three hits and fanning six over 8.0 shutout innings.
  • Threw the first complete game of his career against Saint Joseph's on April 11... Allowed just one run over nine frames.
  • Improved to 5-0 with a complete-game, one-hit shutout in Rhody's 3-0 victory at Richmond.
  • Picked up his sixth win of the season at VCU (April 25)... Allowed just four hits and two unearned runs over 7.0 innings for his seventh straight quality start.
  • Pitched 28.0 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run from April 11 through May 2.
  • Recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts over seven innings of work in a no-decision start at UMass (May 9).

High School

  • Played baseball at Palmer High School under coach Peter Farr.
  • In three years at Palmer, he has posted a 9-5 record with a 1.52 ERA over 101 innings pitched.
  • Has struck out 175 batters while allowing just 41 walks and 52 hits.
  • Also has tossed 12 complete games - seven of which have been shutouts.
  • Offensively, he hit .424 in 99 at-bats, recording 42 hits, 29 walks, 31 RBI and 30 runs scored.
  • Threw a one-hitter in the Western Mass semifinals his freshman year.
  • Helped lead his team to the 2011 Western Mass championship title as well as the state semifinals.
  • Team also advanced to the Western Mass semifinals in 2012 and 2013.
  • Recorded 16 strikeouts in a single game (vs. Greenfield) his sophomore year and struck out 15 in a no-hitter against the defending state champions (South Hadley) his junior season.
  • His no-hitter earned him the 2013 Star Award, for the most outstanding in-season performance.
  • Also collected All-League accolades in 2013 as well as All-Western Mass and Team MVP honors in 2012.
  • Was an ESPN Player of the Week in 2011.
  • Played for Palmer Legion Post 130 as well.
  • Spent time volunteering at the Red Cross Blood Bank.
