Aidan McClellan enters his second season with Rhode Island Football in 2025. After joining the staff as offensive quality control, he was promoted to the team's running backs coach ahead of the 2025 campaign. He also serves as the team's video coordinator.Â
A Rhode Island native, McClellan spent the 2023 season with Bryant as an Offensive Line Quality Control specialist. He was responsible for breaking down opponents' fronts, helped coach the offensive line during practice and broke down game film.
The stint with the Bulldogs was his first in collegiate football, though McClellan had previously worked on the staff at Moses Brown School from 2021-23. After initially joining the high school team as a volunteer assistant, he was promoted to Head JV Coach and Varsity Assistant for the 2022 season. That year, Moses Brown won the Division 3 State Championship. Prior to working with the high school program, he served as the head coach of the middle school's flag football team in 2021.Â
McClellan graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Forestry in 2020. He minored in economics and was a dean's list student. Before stepping into the college football realm, he worked with a construction and design company.Â
