Eddy Morrissey joined the Rhode Island staff as its offensive line coach in March of 2023. He came to Kingston from Marshall, where he coached the offensive line. 

Well known in the college ranks, Morrissey has been on staffs at Austin Peay (2019, offensive line and run game coordinator); Mississippi State (2018, assistant offensive line); Bryant (2017, offensive line); Princeton (2010-15, assistant head coach/offensive line); Fordham (2009, offensive line/tight ends); and Oregon (graduate assist, defense 2006, offense 2007-08).

Morrissey had two stints with Don Brown, coaching running backs at UMass (2004-05) and wide receivers at Northeastern (2002-03). From 1997-99, he was at Brown on the staffs of Mark Whipple and Phil Estes. He was the assistant defensive backs coach in 1997 and the running backs/special teams coordinator in 1998-99.

Morrissey began his career as a student assistant on Brown's staff at Plymouth State (1989-93) and went on to Springfield College as a student assistant working with defensive backs from 1994-96.

Morrissey earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Plymouth State in 1994. He added a master's degree in Education from Springfield College in 1996.
