John Fils-Aime joined the Rhode Island staff as an offensive quality control coach in the spring of 2023 and is entering his second season with the Rams. Since his initial hire, Fils-Aime has earned the role of Director of Football Operations and assists with the coaching of the quarterbacks.Â
He came to URI from Boston College, where he was a scouting assistant for the Eagles during the 2022 season. In that role, Fils-Aime reviewed and edited multi-media clips of prospective student athletes and aided in bringing in the No. 6 rated class in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
From 2020-22, Fils-Aime was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Arlington Catholic High School. He coached back-to-back league all-stars at quarterback. Fils-Aime also aided in recruitment and retainment of player participants for the program, increasing numbers from 26 to 48 players in one year. Nine players he coached went on to play college football at the Division I, II and III levels.
Fils-Aime earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire in 2022.
