Justin Woodward joined the Rhode Island coaching staff as a defensive quality control specialist in 2024 and now works with the inside linebackers.
A 2024 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Woodward is no stranger to the URI sidelines having spent the previous two years as a student defensive assistant. In his role, he helped to create scouting reports, break down game film, and run practice. Woodward also assisted with team equipment needs and recruiting efforts and traveled with the Rams for road games.
During his time in Kingston, the New York native was also involved in various on-campus organizations. He was a Brother at Large and the Brotherhood Chair for Alpha Epsilon Pi, hosted a one-hour weekly show on WRIU and served as a writer/analyst for the Anchor Sports Network.Â
In addition to his athletics experience at URI, Woodward spent three years coaching Pelham Youth Football (2016-19) and also assisted with the town's little league.
