• Attended Suffield Academy (1 year) and Hartford Public (3 years), where he played football, wrestled and competed in track & field
• In one season at Suffield, had 30 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks
• Earned All-New England honors at Suffield Academy
• Earned First-Team All-State honors and was a three-time All-Conference selection for Hartford Public
• Led Suffield to the NEPSAC championship game
• Led Hartford Public two two conference championships

• Has one sister, Timeiqua Nixion
• His cousin, Will Solomon, played basketball at Clemson and went on to play in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies
• Enjoys music, clothes, sports and movies
• Favorite athlete is Vince Wilfork
• Favorite teams are the New England Patriots and Chicago Bulls
