• A team captain for Long Branch
• Led a major turnaround for the Long Branch football program. After going 2-8 in 2016, Cerruti led his team to back-to-back NJSIAA Sectional Championships in 2017 and 2018
• A two-way starter as an offensive lineman and linebacker
• Earned First-Team All-State honors in 2018 and was First-Team All-Shore as both a junior and senior
• Had 182 panacke blocks in his career
• Recorded 112 career tackles and one interception
• His interception return for a touchdown sparked his team to the NJSIAA Central Group IV title
• Also won a state championship in wrestling

• Son of Cindy LaPierre and stepfather Roger Pepin
• Has one brother, Scott, and one sister, Meg
• His aunt, Pamela Cerruti, played basketball at Seton Hall
• He chose Rhode Island over Robert Morris and Wagner, among others
• Picked Rhode Island because, "URI was a school that I instantly felt was right for me. The environment around campus made me feel like I was close to home. The players and coaches all felt like they loved what they were doing and that’s always a good sign. At the end, I knew URI was the school for me."
• Favorite athlete is Tom Brady
• Favorite teams are the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Houston Rockets
