Chris Martin begins his fourth season with the Rhode Island men's basketball program in 2016-17.

Martin was a four-year letterman for Wagner College, playing for the Seahawks from 2008-12.  His final two seasons, he was a standout guard for then-head coach Dan Hurley and finished his career in Staten Island as a 1,000 point scorer.

He graduated from Wagner in 2012 with a degree in sociology, and has worked as a teacher's assistant at Bankbridge Elementary, Middle, and Regional High Schools over the past two years.

Martin is pursuing his master's degree in communications studies at Rhode Island.
