Jack Buchan was named as a graduate assistant coach with Rhode Island before the 2024-25 season. Overall, he is in his fifth season with the Rams.
In his role, Buchan oversees team film operations and analytics. He handles opposing team film breakdown while also assisting with day-to-day team operations. Buchan also in involved with coordination of recruiting visits, as well as player development.
A four-year student manager with Rhode Island from 2020-24, Buchan was the program's head manager as a senior, overseeing a team of nine student managers. He was in charge of video and editing for all practices and games and assisted the coaching staff with scouting reports, among other responsibilities.
The Norton, Mass. native is a member of Grow the Game. He attended the 2023 National Association of Basketball Coaches Convention in Houston and is Professional Development Series Certified.
A 2024 graduate from Rhode Island, Buchan earned bachelor's degrees in Communications as well as Sports Media and Communications. He also minored in Social Justice and Civic Responsibilities.
