Biography

McGlynn will have one season of eligibility remaining (2015-16) as a graduate transfer from Towson

2014-15 (Junior at Towson):

  • Started 25 of 32 games for the Tigers, leading the team in scoring (12.0 ppg) while registering double-figures in points on 16 occasions
  • Tallied his career-high of 27 points on three occasions - at Monmouth, vs. FDU, and vs. Hofstra
  • Added 22 points and five boards at Hofstra
  • Registered his 1,000th career point in the first half vs. College of Charleston, en route to scoring 20 points (12-13 FT).
  • Dished out a career-best six assists versus Elon
  • Added 20 points (4-6 3FG) at Temple
  • Had 10 points against Georgetown
  • Connected on all 13 of his free throw attempts, scoring 22 points versus UMBC
  • Sealed a victory over Morgan State, connecting on 6-of-6 from the charity stripe over the final 3:48 of play
  • Scored a team-high 15 points in the opener at Alabama (5-10 3FG)
  • Named to the 2015 CAA All-Academic team

2013-14 (Sophomore at Towson):

  • Played in all 36 games with 20 starts; tallied double-digits in the scoring column on 16 occasions
  • Led the CAA and ranked 6th in the nation in free throw percentage (91.3%) en route to setting a new Towson single-season free throw record
  • Ranked third in the CAA in 3-point field goal percentage (40.8%) and sixth in three-pointers made (71)
  • Connected on six treys, scoring a season-high 23 points in Towson’s CIT win at ETSU
  • Made ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 plays with a halfcourt shot at the buzzer that led the Tigers past USC Upstate in the first round of the CIT
  • Named Co-MVP of the Battle 4 Atlantis Mainland Tournament after averaging 16.5 points per game in the tourney

2011-12 (Freshman at Vermont):

  • Named the 2011-12 America East Rookie of the Year after leading UVM in scoring (12.0 ppg), three-pointers made (68) and free throw percentage (88.9%) while playing in all 36 games
  • Led all Division I freshmen with his stellar free throw shooting percentage
  • Also the only player in the nation to lead his team in scoring without having started a game
  • Earned a spot on the America East Championship All-Tournament team as he helped the Catamounts win 24 games and the league’s post-season tournament
  • Five-time America East Rookie of the Week tallied 20 or more points five times, including a season-high 24 points against Stony Brook
  • Tallied 18 points in Vermont’s NCAA Tournament first-round victory against Lamar

At Dallastown H.S.:

  • Finished his high school career as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,854 points
  • Earned All-County honors in each of his final three seasons after leading the district in scoring each year…
  • Named Third Team All-State in Pennsylvania as a senior after averaged 24.0 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds a game.
