Rams Fall To Bonnies

OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - J.R. Bremer scored 17 points and captain Tim Winn made seven assists to lead St. Bonaventure University to an 84-44 win over the University of Rhode Island Saturday in the Atlantic 10.

Bremer led all scorers by hitting six of seven shots from the floor, all three of his 3-pointers and two of four foul shots. The sophomore also had three rebounds and two assists.

The Bonnies (13-4, 5-2) raced to a 41-14 haftime lead and once led by 34 points in the second half, 56-22.

St. Bonaventure had four players who scored in double figures, including forward Peter Van Paassen who had 10 points and nine rebounds.

For Rhode Island, Luther Clay scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and Zach Marbury had 12 points.

The win snapped St. Bonaventure's two-game losing streak and was the Bonnies' biggest winning margin since 1995.
