Men's Basketball Falls To Dayton, 73-64

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) - Keith Waleskowski scored a career-high 24 points to lead Dayton to a 73-64 win over Rhode Island Saturday night.

Waleskowski also had eight rebounds and four assists for Dayton (15-9, 6-5 Atlantic 10). Brooks Hall added 13 points and Nate Green scored 12.

Rhode Island (5-19 overall, 1-10 Atlantic 10) closed the game with a 10-0 run. Tavorris Bell led Rhode Island with 21 points and Zach Marbury had 16.

Waleskowski scored two baskets in a 9-0 run by Dayton that started the game, with the second coming at the 17:02 mark of the first half.

After taking a 34-22 lead into half time, Dayton started the second half with a 9-0 run.

Dayton's biggest lead of the game was 63-37 with 9:05 to play after a three-point play by Waleskowski, who was 8-of-8 from the field and 8-of-9 from the foul line.

Dayton was ahead 73-54 after a basket by David Morris with 2:43 to play in the game, but didn't score a point the rest of the way.

Lazare Adingono scored all of his five points in the 10-0 Rhode Island run which closed the game.
