KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island junior outside hitter Rachel Bello tallied a team-high 15 kills to go along with seven digs but it was Charlotte outlasting the Rams, 3-1 (28-30, 30-22, 30-19, 30-26) in Atlantic 10 women's volleyball action this afternoon in Keaney Gymnasium.

Senior outside hitter Abbey Szlanfucht was credited with a double-double 17 kills and 13 digs, while sophomore Alma Arroyo registered 17 kills for Charlotte (12-12, 5-3 A-10).

Freshman outside hitter Jillian Bekke added 14 kills, while junior setter Inga Schlecht totaled 45 assists for URI (6-14, 1-6 A-10).

Rhode Island, who has played 10 of its last 11 matches at home, heads out for a six-match road swing starting Friday (Oct. 21) at Duquesne at 7:00 p.m.
