OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Patrick Lottin scored a season-high 24 points to lead St. Bonaventure over Rhode Island 70-64 Saturday.

The Bonnies (2-20, 1-10) ended a 10-game losing streak for their first Atlantic 10 win since March 6, 2004. The victory was their third in 44 games going back to December 2003.

Ahmad Smith hit a fade-away 3-pointer eight minutes into the second half to tie the game at 38-38 and start the 10-2 run that put the Bonnies ahead for good.

The Rams (4-17, 2-8) cut the lead to five with 1:11 to play in the game with Scott Hazelton's layup and free throw on the foul. Hazelton led the injury-depleted Rams, who dressed only nine players, with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Hazelton dunked the ball on an inbound pass to cap a 13-1 run for the Rams over the final six minutes of the first half, putting them up 31-23 at the break.

For St. Bonaventure, Smith finished with 18 points, and Saulius Dumbliauskas had nine rebounds. The Bonnies shot 40 percent from the floor, better than Rhode Island's 32 percent.
