OLEAN, N.Y. (AP) - Jamaal Wise scored 15 points and Jimmy Baron added 14 Saturday, leading Rhode Island to a 71-66 Atlantic 10 win over St. Bonaventure.

The Rams (8-6, 2-1) trailed for most of the game before Baron's 3-pointer with 13:22 to play put them up 50-47 and started a 12-5 run. The Bonnies (6-9, 0-4) responded with six unanswered points.

St. Bonaventure briefly held a 62-61 lead, but Rhode Island outscored the Bonnies 10-4 over the final three minutes.

Paul Williams led St. Bonaventure with 21 points, and Ahmad Smith had 16. Will Daniels added 10 points for the Rams.

In the first half, St. Bonaventure jumped out to a 15-7 lead and held a 37-33 halftime edge.

Rhode Island coach Jim Baron earned his first win against St. Bonaventure, where he played and coached.
