SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) - Jessica Simmonds posted her fifth double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead No. 25 George Washington to a 72-54 win over Rhode Island on Friday.

Kenan Cole scored 17 points for George Washington (12-5, 5-0), which won its sixth straight game to remain the only undefeated team in the Atlantic 10. Sarah-Jo Lawrence also scored 17 points.

The score was tied at 9-all when George Washington went on a 14-4 run. Corinne Turner's 3-pointer with 7:03 to play in the first gave George Washington a 23-13 lead. George Washington led 37-25 at the half.

A Safi Mojidi 3-pointer pulled Rhode Island within 53-45 at the 9:56 mark of the second, but George Washington responded with an 18-4 run during which Cole scored nine points.

Mojidi led Rhode Island with 22 points and Tanya Rhodes had 15.

Rhode Island (5-11, 2-3) was hurt by 27 turnovers. George Washington had a 41-28 rebounding advantage.
