KINGSTON, R.I. Senior middle blocker Ivy Zuidhof led the Rams with eight kills and two solo blocks and junior middle blocker Sara Phillips added seven kills as Rhode Island downed Quinnipiac, 3-0 (30-11, 30-16, 30-22).
Senior outside hitter Rachel Bello recorded six kills and nine digs and senior setter Lindsay St. John came one dig shy of her third straight double-double as she had 16 assists and nine digs. Junior setter Kaira Kachadurian had a match-high 18 assists.
The Rams started strong, eading the first game 10-1 behind six straight service points from Rachel Bello before going on to win 30-11. In the second game, Kaira Kachadurian accounted for 11 service points as the Rams went on to win. Quinnipiac was close in the third game, only down six points late with the score at 25-19. The Rams managed to pull away with two service points from Christie Redgate and a match ending kill by Caitlyn Welsh.
The Rams will host their last match of the season on Saturday, November 11th at 7:00 p.m. Rachel Bello, Inga Schlecht, Lindsay St. John and Ivy Zuidhof will be honored for Senior Appreciation Night.
