SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (AP) - Abdulai Jalloh had 10 points, including the game winning basket with about two minutes to play, to lift Saint Joseph's to a 57-55 win over Rhode Island on Saturday.
Rob Ferguson and Dwayne Lee each finished with 11 points for the Hawks (11-12, 5-7 Atlantic 10), while Jalloh, Chet Stachitas and Dave Mallon each scored 10.
Saint Joseph's outscored the Rams (12-11, 6-6) 7-3 in the final four minutes.
Ferguson gave the Hawks a 55-52 lead with a 3-pointer with three minutes remaining.
Dawan Robinson answered with a short jumper to make the score 55-54 with 2:40 left.
Jalloh made his basket to make it 57-54 with 2:05 left. Rhode Island pulled within 57-55 on a free throw by Jamaal Wise with 49 seconds left.
Saint Joseph's turned the ball over with 17 seconds to play, but Robinson kissed a jumper that would have tied the game with five seconds left.
Wise led the Rams with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Robinson finished with 11 points.
Rhode Island got to the foul line 19 times in the second half, but missed seven.
