KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island senior middle blocker Ivy Zuidhof finished with a team-high 13 kills and only had three errors on 30 swings for a .333 hitting percentage, but it was Pittsburgh holding off the Rams, 3-0 (30-24, 30-23, 30-24) in day-two action of the Rhode Island Invitational in Keaney Gymnasium.
Junior setter Kaira Kachadurian registered a double-double with 30 assists and 11 digs for the Rams (1-4), while sophomore libero Leslie Wiekamp racked up a team-high 16 digs on the evening.
Senior outside hitter Inga Schlecht added 10 kills, while also picking up seven digs for the Rams, who return to action on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. versus Akron. Pittsburgh will take on Northeastern at noon in the day's other action.
