Complete 2008 A-10 Championship results in PDF Format 
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The University of Rhode Island women's cross country team placed 12th overall at the 2008 Atlantic 10 championship, held on the campus course at Charlotte.
The Rams totaled 314 points on the day. Richmond took the team title, with 48 total points.
Brittany Pelsue led the Rams with her 64th place finish overall. She covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 19:39.3. Emily Zaccardi placed 71st overall, in a time of 19:47.8.
Mary Najarian (75th place, 19:52.1) and Kathryn Allard (76th place, 19:55.4) were the third and fourth Rams to cross the finish line. Caitrin Demchko rounded out the Rhody scorers, finishing 82nd overall (20:02.3).
Alyssa Namey (105th place, 20:42.1) and Amy Krajewski (113th place, 20:57.6) rounded out the Rhode Island finishers. Charlotte's Amanda Goeschius won the individual crown, in a time of 17:37.7.
Rhode Island returns to action on Nov. 15 at the 2008 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y.
