Volleyball Falls Short Against Evansville

DURHAM, N.H. - The Rhode Island volleyball team (5-5) fell in three straight games to Evansville in its final match of the UNH Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman outside hitter Kayla Wilson (Santa Monica, Calif.) paced the squad offensively with 11 kills. Junior outside hitter Caitlyn Welsh (Narragansett, R.I.) also reached double-figures in kills as she tallied 10 terminations.

Senior Peggy Doino (Deer Park, N.Y.) led the team defensively with 13 digs.

Earlier in the day, Rhode Island fell 3-2 to Seton Hall.

Rhode Island returns home on Tuesday to faceoff against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m.
