CCSU Mini Meet Results
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. -- The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team placed seventh at the CCSU Mini Meet, held at Stanley Quarter Park.
The Rams totaled 183 points on the afternoon.  Providence won the meet, with a total of 33 points.
Leading the way for URI was Kevin Healey, who placed 29th overall.  Healey covered the five-kilometer (3.1 miles) course in a time of 15:52.64.
A four-pack of Rhody runners finished 39-42, to round out the Rams' scoring.
Nathan Ruchames was 39th, crossing the line in 16:00.29.  Justin Ellison was close behind in 40th place (16:01.98), followed by Nate Wigdon in 41st (16:02.88) and Michael Pezzullo in 42nd place (16:07.13).  Rhode Island's 1-5 split was roughly 15 seconds apart.
Rounding out the URI finishers, Dan Hawkins was 48th (16:11.65) while Corey Coogan in 58th (16:28.72).
Next up for Rhode Island is the Atlantic 10 Championship, held on Oct. 31 at Forest Park in St. Louis, Mo.
