HOPKINTON, N.H. - Rhode Island delivered its best performance in program history at the 2025 NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Friday morning.
Nick Martin,
Garrett Hartline and
Maddox Jordan delivered the first, second and fourth best finishes in team history at the meet, respectively.
Martin and Hartline both finishes in the top 50 out 263 competitors at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds. Martin completed the 10K course in a time of 30:23.9, good for 40th place overall. Hartline was just six seconds behind him to the finish line, coming in 46th with a time of 30:39.6.
Rhody's top runners stayed within striking distance of the leaders. Hofstra's Fredrick Kipkosgei won the race in 29:12.7, edging Syracuse's Peter Walsdorf (29:17.5) and Harvard's Sam Burgess (29:18.6).
Jordan gave Rhode Island a third top 80 finisher. He placed 80th with a time of 30:56.1.
Also competing for the Rams were
Jesse Principe (174th, 32:08.0), Matthew Lucas (193rd, 32:24.3) and
Jason Padula (221st, 33:00.7).
