HARTFORD, Conn. -- Michael Pezzullo placed third overall, leading the Rams to a second place finish at the Hartford Invitational.

Pezzullo clocked 26:41.9 for the five-mile course at Riverside Park. URI had five of the top 10 finishers in the race.

Justin Ellison was fourth, crossing the finish line in a time of 27:04.6. Teammate Kevin Healey was close on his heels, finishing in fifth place in a time of 27:08.5.

Nate Wigton finished seventh overall in a time of 27:13.8, while Nathan Ruchames rounded out the Rhody scorers in 10th place in 27:25.4.

Corey Coogan (11th place, 27:47.0), Daniel Hawkins (17th place, 29:31.7), and James Harrison (18th place, 29:38.0) rounded out the Rhody scorers.

As a team, Rhode Island compiled 29 total points. Hartford took the team title, with 26 points.

Rhode Island returns to action on Oct. 10 at the New England Championship.
