Rams Defeated at Temple, 1-0

PHILADELPHIA - The Rhode Island men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback at Temple on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops Rhody to 2-10-2 (0-4-1 Atlantic 10) while the Owls improve to 5-7-2 (3-2-0).

After a scoreless first half, Temple's Andrew Dodds netted what proved to be the game-winning goal when he sent a loose ball past redshirt junior goalkeeper Peyton Warwick at the 64:32 mark. Warwick finished with four saves on the afternoon while his counterpart - Bret Mollon - turned away shots by senior Greg Balicki and junior Reece Markman to get the shutout victory.

As a team, URI outcornered TU, 6-2, but Temple held a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.

The Rams return to the URI Soccer Complex to take on La Salle, Friday night at 7 p.m.
