• Saturday will be the 21st meeting between Rhode Island and Saint Louis.

• Rhode Island enters Saturday's match in ninth place, one point behind La Salle and VCU.
• With a victory at Saint Louis and a loss or tie by either La Salle (vs. George Washington) or VCU (vs. Davidson), Rhody would be at least the eighth seed.
• URI can get as high as the seventh seed in two scenarios.
• If Rhode Island wins at Saint Louis and both VCU and La Salle tie or lose their respective matches, URI is the seventh seed.
• If Rhode Island ties Saint Louis and finishes in a four-way tie for eighth place with La Salle, VCU and Duquesne (vs. George Mason), the Rams win the tiebreaker based on record against common opponents.
• The common opponents would be Saint Louis and Davidson. URI would be 0-1-1, and the other three teams would be 0-2.
• In this scenario, Rhode Island would be the seventh seed as long as Loyola Chicago tied or lost at Dayton.
• If Loyola Chicago wins its match, Rhody would be the eighth seed.
• Rhode Island loses any head-to-head tiebreaker with La Salle or VCU.
• Rhody also loses a three-way tie with La Salle and VCU.
• If La Salle and VCU both win their matches Saturday, Rhode Island is out.
• A loss for Rhode Island eliminates the Rams.
