CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The University of Rhode Island men's cross country team finished 12th at the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship, held at Frank Liske Park in Charlotte, N.C.
The Rams totaled 387 points on the day as Rhody was led by senior Nathan Wigton who placed 76th, completing the course in 26:34.6. Following Wigton were junior Timothy Calcagni and senior Michael Pezzullo, who finished in 88th and 89th, respectively, in 26:45.3 and 26:51.8.
Also finishing for URI were junior Corey Coogan (91st, 26:55.7), sophomore Zachary Burkett (108th, 27:44.2), freshman Zachary Seites-Rundlett (113th, 28:18.0) and sophomore Samuel Weintraub (116th, 29:00.6).
La Salle won the overall title with 39 points, with junior Alfredo Santana taking the top spot, crossing in 24:18.0.
